Your customers will judge your company within 5 seconds of landing on your website. Your business will significantly be affected by the way you design your webpage. You need to make sure that your website captures the hearts of your customers so that they will spend time in understanding what you are trying to provide them. Try to look at it from their point of view and design it in a way that they would be impressed with your business just by looking at your site.

The following are some of the ways for improving your web design:

Have a rough plan:

You can’t just start with your web design. You need to know all the things you will need to add in the design to effectively meet your customer’s needs. Make a rough design on a plain piece of paper or have a visual image of a design then use various tools that available to put those models together.

Get inspiration from other websites:

There are many brilliant websites which have many good features, and you can refer to such websites and get an idea of how you can make your site. Don’t try to replicate the same design but try to grasp the essence of the website and then start developing your design.

Keep all the personable images on the front page:

You might have some of the best images, but it is of no use if it does not appear on the first page of the search result. Make sure that the quality and size of the image you are using are proper as you do not want that to slow down your website.

Keep it neat and simple:

When your customer looks at your page, he/she must be able to understand what your business is about.  Don’t try to clutter the page with many images and information. Keep it neat and simple in a way that your customers will be able to understand the services you are providing. Do not place complex animations or have a content that is too long. Remember that your audience has the attention span of about 5 to 8 seconds. So the first impression you are going to provide matters with a lot.

Social share buttons:

Provide the users with the opportunity to share what is there on your website. By allowing your customers to share your content, you will have the chance of getting more traffic to your site. You can place those social media icons in the corner of the website, and if the user feels that your content is worth sharing, he/she will make use of the buttons you have provided them to share it on various social sites.

Get your navigations right:

There is nothing more confusing than to have a disorganised navigation interface. It is essential to make sure that your users can navigate easily through the website.
